Honda launch new PCX Scooter

Last week Honda announced the arrival of a new scooter in their range the Honda PCX. This is a 125cc twist and go scooter.

If features a dark, tinted screen, a dual-headlight, high-tech instrument panel with speedometer, fuel gauge and an indicator for the engine’s innovative Idle Stop Switch.

Underneath the rider and pillion seat is a lockable storage space which is large enough for a full-face helmet and more. In addition there is a glove box and an optional 26-litre top box on the rear carrier. It has a responsive chassis, 14-inch wheels and Combined Brake System,

The PCX has a 125cc liquid-cooled four-stroke, single-cylinder engine which has an innovative ‘built-in’ radiator, to keep the engine compact, cool and light.

Honda’s PGM-FI fuel-injection system promises excellent tank range and low emissions, with the PCX delivering up to 130mpg. Helping the frugal fuel-injection return such impressive MPG figures are the Idle Stop Switch and Brushless ACG Starter. The brushless ACG was debuted on the trendy Honda Zoomer and works as both a starter motor at ignition and a generator while on the move, making the engine lighter. Meanwhile, when the Idle Stop Switch is enabled, the engine stops running after three seconds of idling, but it re-starts when the throttle is twisted open again – this helps improve fuel efficiency by up to another 5%.

BMW Motorrad C1-E prototype

BMW Motorrad is to show off its one-off C1-E prototype at the Sheffield BikeSafe Show on the 12-13 June.

C1-E has a high-spec electric motor and lithium-ion battery and the roll-over bars and windscreen – which create a ‘safety cell’ around the rider.

The rider is further protected by a seatbelt – as seen on the original C1 – a feature which meant the C1 was the only powered two-wheeler exempt from the mandatory helmet requirement in most European countries. Another new innovation for the motorcycle world is an impact-absorbing zone in the nose of the C1-E. While this version has an electric motor and battery pack, the vehicle could also be equipped with an efficient, low-emissions internal combustion engine.

There are currently no plans to put the BMW C1-E into production.

2010 Kawasaki KLX110L

Here by clicking on the picture you can find and take better pictures, wallpapers, yamaha motorcycles, pictures kterangan photo here 2010 Kawasaki KLX110L

Kawasaki’s Fun Little Dirt Bike Gets Serious

The original KLX™110 was one of the most fun-to-ride, kid-friendly bikes of all time, with a torquey four-stroke single / automatic-clutch drivetrain that encouraged everybody to hop on and have a ride. And that’s exactly what happened - everybody did hop on: Research reveals that KLXs get ridden more by adults than by kids. For 2010, a thoroughly re-engineered KLX110 gains more versatility than ever, with more power, more performance and more convenience. So, while they were busy doing all that anyway, Kawasaki’s engineers decided to build an entirely new KLX110 with bigger kids in mind, even fully grown ones: the 2010 KLX110L.

The KLX110 “L” model’s seat, at 28.7 inches high, is nearly 2 inches farther from the dirt than a standard KLX. That’s the result of equipping it with a 2.4-inch longer fork with 5.5 inches of wheel travel, plus a longer shock that serves up 5.2 inches of wheel travel out back. Naturally, those long-travel components carry revised spring and damper settings as well, so bigger kids can push harder wherever they ride.

Aggressive riders often demand the superior control of a manual clutch, so the new KLX110L model gets one to compliment its four-speed gearbox. This combination lets more experienced riders wring every drop of performance from the 111cc engine. Convenient push-button electric starting helps make starting the KLX110L quick and easy for any rider.

The Kawasaki design team outfitted the new KLX110L with a gas tank, seat, side panels, shrouds and fenders that mimic the KX450F’s. A taller, reshaped seat is part of the deal, too, along with a handlebar bend optimized to provide excellent comfort and control to a large variety of riders. In other words, this one’s for big kids of all ages.

MINI-MOTO MANIA: TWO FUN NEW OFF-ROAD PLAYBIKES FOR YOUNGSTERS AND MINI-MOTO ENTHUSIASTS

Removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, even simple bikes can offer a great deal of fun. Kawasaki recognizes this, and proudly introduces two new playbikes based on the KLX110. Designed for youngsters aged 13 and above, and mini-moto enthusiasts, the new KLX110 and KLX110L can handle rider weights up to 70 kg.

Numerous upgrades make the KLX110/L even more fun to ride. Revised settings for the 112 cc SOHC Single result in a more powerful engine. A new 4-speed transmission means even more gear selection. Revised rear suspension offers increased bottoming performance, and roomier ergonomics accommodate a wider range of riders.

Compounding the fun, riders now have two models from to choose from. The "standard" KLX110, featuring all the improvements listed above, comes equipped with a centrifugal clutch, enabling clutchless shifting. The KLX110L features a manual clutch enabling sportier riding for those who want to enjoy greater control, and longer-travel suspension that offers superior rough-road performance.

And with the addition of handy new features like electric start and KACR (Kawasaki Automatic Compression Release), access to fun is easier than ever. Revised pedal and lever design further facilitate operation.

Both models are wrapped in sporty factory-style bodywork emulating Kawasaki's flagship motocrosser, the KX450F.

The KLX110 and KLX110L - Small bikes. Big fun

The KLX110L can be customized with Authentic Kawasaki Accessories available at Kawasaki dealers.
